Dog of the Week
“Her name is Gamora (named after Zoe Saldana’s character in Guadian’s of the Galaxy). She was was born in Kansas, in November 29, 2015 (this is funny because our daughter Zoey was born 11/29/16). She is a Great Dane/Boxer mix and can open doors (and often lets herself in and out of the house much to our chagrin). She’s about 68lbs and up until last year had a tail. Now she has a “nobbin tail”. She thinks she’s a tiny lapdog.” – Gamora’s mom, Kristen

Meals from the Heartland is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization. We are made up of volunteers from businesses, schools, churches, community organizations and beyond who package meals for delivery to malnourished people in Iowa, across the United States and around the world.” – Meals from the Heartland’s website
