Welcome home everyone! Join us this week as we discuss our first set of favorite things for 2021! Come back next week for our week in review
Dog of the Week

“This is Olive, stealer of all the human food. A friend couldn’t handle her after a year and she gave her to us, and it’s been love ever since. She’s an escape artist, through and through. She can wiggle her way under almost any fence, but only travels a few houses away before running back home. She’s my baby, even though she was intended to be a dog for my daughter. I’m her person. If she’s not in the same room as me, it’s because the kids have food somewhere and she’s begging, or she’s sleeping with her butt next to Ethan’s butt. They do sleep butt to butt 🤣 She always wants in the car but is too anxious for them. She doesn’t care for men, but tolerates a couple (don’t we all…🤣) “We don’t need a doorbell, we know you’re here” is our motto.” – Olive’s mom, Hannah
Charity of the Week:
Heart To Heart International

“We imagine a world in which every person has access to a healthy life and every community has the capacity to make that access a reality. We believe that sustained access to health sets the foundation for individual and community development. In everything we do, we work to broaden access to healthcare services and build capacity for health. It’s a lofty vision, but we take a step closer to it every day through support from people like you. Invest in our efforts to create a healthier world today.
Heart to Heart International has launched international, domestic and local responses to COVID-19. HHI deployed a team of infection prevention and control experts to the Marshall Islands to develop the country’s COVID response and continues to support remotely. HHI’s Haiti team has a community health worker program focusing now on COVID-19 information campaigns. In Puerto Rico, HHI is working with partners to implement virtual monitoring and a helpline for those experiencing symptoms. HHI’s mobile medical unit with doctors and nurses is being utilized to support community members experiencing housing instability. Across the U.S., HHI is distributing hygiene kits for those in vulnerable populations. HHI has collected and distributed personal protective equipment, including masks, gowns, and sanitizers to clinics, hospitals and first responding organizations. HHI remains an active member of healthcare coalitions, providing gap support so that service organizations can continue to operate.” – Heart to Heart
